We cater to dogs! Our philosophy is to provide a comfortable, clean, safe and home-style environment with plenty of fun and exercise. The positive training methods we use are based on fun, respect and fairness.
Janice, the founder and President of Canine Comfort Corner, adopted her first dog Sydney, a fluffy, white Fox Terrier / American Eskimo mix, out of a shelter many years ago. Starting with Sydney, Janice very quickly got deeply involved with dog obedience and competitive agility training, tracking, grooming, rescue work, fostering and re-homing abandoned dogs.
Since Sydney, Janice has trained and competed with Woody, Casey, Chilly, and Caya in obedience and agility trials. Currently in training are younger dogs Kirrie, Dilly, Maizey, and Zuki. Janice adopted her main agility dog, Caya, an energetic and smart Australian Shepard, at age 4 and after years of training they are now a top notch working team, and Caya has gone on to become an agility champion.
Whether it’s training an agility champion or re-homing the dozens of dogs she’s helped, Janice focuses on each dog’s individual personality and adjusts her approach to meet their needs. “A dog’s personality doesn’t change no matter how you train them. What’s important to me is to first find out who they are, then work with their personality - not against it.”
Hope, the supervisor at Canine Comfort Corner, has been working with our team for about two years now! Hope owns two dogs and has completed her Vet Assistance and Animal Care and Handling certificates. Hope cares for every dog at CCC like they are one of her own, and along with sister, Holly, keeps CCC running smoothly.
Hope loves dogs and photography! Hope is also very passionate about horses; she has competed in multiple horse shows and was in 4-H with her horse Penny. In addition, she went to the state for Western pleasure and English riding. She loves to take pictures of the customer's dogs at work to show them how much fun they have at CCC!
